Swirling everywhere

A while back we were approached from a fellow tweeter from twitter who has an online shop called My Shopping Connection, which is an online Galleria filled with unique and interesting product finds. They locate small businesses offering quality merchandise and showcase a few of their finest offerings in a "Our Finds."
So we were thrilled to find out that our Happy Halloween Bat is featured in their 2009 Halloween decor collection. Here is a snippet of what they have to say: This adorable handmade polymer clay Halloween ornament is a great choice for ornament collectors. The main part of the ornament features a cute striped pumpkin, glittery flying bats and the message "Happy Halloween." Dangling beneath the ornament is another little bat.

So if you are looking to do some Halloween shopping click on over and take a peak.

Our interview with Cafe Handmade

A few weeks back we came across this wonderful virtual craft show website called Cafe Handmade while on twitter (are you on twitter? If so follow Swirly Designs!!). It's a website devoted to everything handmade and promoting buying handmade goods from independent crafters and artists.

We had the pleasure of being profiled on their website in the "In the Studio with..." section. It's a look into how we make our creations from the start and our thought process behind our collections. Check out the interview here and let us know what you think.

Swirly Designs is on TWITTER

OK, so this is the one of the reasons we have been really bad about updating our blog regularly.... we have caved into the media peer pressure frenzie and opened a Twitter account.

This social networking site has been all over the place lately. Every one is joining it, from CNN to Martha Stewart. It is all still so very new to us and we are still trying to figure it all out. You could spend hours (and have) just searching different groups, or people on it.

We think it will be a great marketing tool. Within a few weeks we have about 142 followers. Swirly Designs will be able to gather and share information to a whole new group of collectors and fellow artisans who might not be familiar with us.
